The Pricebooks subtab is where you can apply maximum discounts at the price book level or price book entry level. When you add a maximum discount to these and the user goes outside the threshold at the quote level, the field salesready__Maximum_Discount_Exceeded__c gets checked. You can also use this subtab to quickly change pricing, which is something that the standard Salesforce UI does not offer.
